Commissions
Commissions
A commissioned portrait is a way of keeping a place. Each is drawn by hand, in fineliner, with care given to the character and atmosphere of the building — an artwork and a keepsake rather than a reproduction.

How it works
Most commissions begin with photographs of the home and a short conversation about what makes it significant. I work from these to compose and draw the portrait by hand, paying attention to proportion, light and the details that give a house its character.
Portraits are typically drawn at A4 or A3 on archival paper. For real estate agents, they make a considered settlement gift; for owners, a way of holding onto a place that has mattered. Pricing depends on size and complexity — please get in touch to discuss your commission.
Enquire about a commission
Tell me about the home you would like drawn. I take on a limited number of commissions to keep each one considered.
