Halo Illustration
I am an artist and architectural illustrator based in Brisbane. I make hand-drawn records of places, memories and experiences that people believe are worth remembering.
As a child I drew houses — facades, dream homes, imagined rooms. I studied architecture because it seemed a way to keep drawing buildings, and after working professionally in architecture and real estate I have returned to the thing I always loved.
My work sits at the intersection of architecture, memory and storytelling. I am interested in why we become attached to places, and in architecture as lived experience rather than built form. Each drawing is made entirely by hand in fine black fineliner, prioritising observation, composition and atmosphere over realism.
I founded Halo Illustration to make commissioned architectural portraits — most often given by real estate agents to vendors at settlement, as a keepsake of a home. Alongside this I am building a broader practice: fine art, conceptual work, travel sketchbooks and written reflections on home, memory and place.
